How to make a Die Hard Christmas Ornament

Yesterday a picture of a Die Hard  Christmas ornament circulated the internet. That picture is on the right.

Thi is from the scene when our hero, John McClane, is crawling through the ventilation shafts in the Nakatomi Building. Terrorists have taken over of a company Christmas party that McClane’s wife invited him to. Being a bad ass cop from New York, McClane decides to take out the group of terrorists (crawling through vents and losing his shoes in the process).

New York Red Bulls – A Great Family Event

283px-New_York_Red_Bulls_logo.svgThis weekend I’m planning to take my family to an MLS match between the New York Red Bulls and the New England Revolution. The Red Bulls (RBNY) are a good team. They’re currently 3rd in their division and on pace to make the playoffs for the seventh year in a row.

My girls are about 6 and 4 years old, and I’ve taken them to a RBNY game for the last 2 years. They are fun, and the kids enjoy them.

One of the greatest things about seeing the Red Bulls as a family is the cost. Continue reading “New York Red Bulls – A Great Family Event”

Family Fun in Nags Head, North Carolina

My family has been vacationing in Nags Head, North Carolina at least once a year for the last 20 years. Below is my guide for fun family activities in Nags Head. This list includes the beach, the sound, bumper boats, mini golf, hang gliding, dolphins tours, pirate adventures and more.

Fun Activities in Nags Head

Go to the beach

Nags Head BeachThis is a no brainer in the Outer Banks. The beaches here at beautiful, not crowded and warm. Nags Head is less populated than other parts of the OBX, so there’s plenty of room to spread out on the beach. My family will often fly kites, play soccer or throw a football on the beach. That’s how much room there is.

Writing a Book

I’ve been thinking about writing a book, but I don’t think I ever will. I love the idea in concept, but the thought of working on one single side project for years sounds terrible.

I love project management, because the work is often new and changing. As a project ends, you can start a new project with different goals and a different team. I like my hobbies to be the same way.

For instance, I have this blog and this site. I can write when I want about anything I want, and not worry about word count, or even how to end a blog post.
